Diversity Initiatives

Diversity is central to our firm and mission; it helps our ability to serve our clients and we believe it strengthens our culture and adaptability. Our strategy to create a diverse and inclusive work environment is by engaging our professionals through various avenues across training and development, talent pipelining and company events.

Developing Women at Oz

From daily mentoring, to leadership training, to firm-wide events; developing and advancing women at Oz is a fundamental focus of the firm. Events include panel discussions, breakfasts or luncheons to discuss career progression, and cocktail hours to facilitate cross team and function networking.

Additionally, Oz supports external organizations dedicated to elevating women, such as 100 Women in Finance, and sponsors internal women’s career development through Declare.

Talent Pipeline

The firm targets a diverse candidate population through its recruiting efforts. On campus, we collaborate with schools to reach this target audience through workshops, informational sessions and job postings. In particular, Oz Real Estate visits with university Real Estate Clubs and Women’s networks throughout the year, prior to its internship recruiting in the summer. Oz also hosts students from the University of Michigan, for the Trek on Wall Street to educate sophomore women, through the Och Initiative for Women in Finance.

We also participate in recruiting networking events such as Women Impact Tech, in order to target experienced technology professionals.

Affinity Networks

Oz offers employee Affinity groups to support all genders, ethnicities and groups of people with similar interests. These are open to all professionals, with the aim to promote stronger relationships amongst coworkers, share ideas on relevant topics, as well as raise firm-wide awareness of diverse groups at the firm.
